A 9-week professional development program

Navigating Emotions at Work

Welcome

Navigating Emotions at Work is our flagship program to support you to expand your emotional literacy and improve your experience of work.

Many of us are taught to ignore or downplay how we feel at work—that emotions are a distraction, only “positive” ones are appropriate, and that we must keep them under control. At the same time, we’re constantly grappling with the emotional landscape of our workplace, from trying to boost team morale to dealing with conflict and uncertainty.

Come practice new tools in dialogue with peers. As part of a small group, you'll have access to different perspectives and immediate feedback loops. This is the place to explore and practice different ways of showing up, so that you're equipped to face real-life work situations with more confidence and ease.

What it looks like

  • 5 live sessions on Zoom (90 min, every other Tuesday)

  • Small group of 6-10 peers

  • Blend of theory and practice

  • Weekly home practices for self-regulation and emotional processing

  • Invitation to join the NEAW alumni community for continued practice beyond the program

Why a group?

Exploring emotions requires interaction with other humans. You'll take part in a variety of activities, including roleplay, reflection and 1-1 practices, all designed for online engagement.

Each group brings together a mix of genders, ages and cultural backgrounds, as well as a range of professional experiences and interests.
